Live audio that sounds like the room

We built PulseCast a live-audio platform where thousands of listeners share a room in real time and it still sounds like everyone's in the same studio.

Overview

Great conversations, ruined by the connection

PulseCast's live rooms were compelling until they filled up — then latency climbed, audio dropped, and the magic of a real conversation fell apart. They needed studio quality that held at scale.

Highlights

  • Low-latency live audio rooms for large audiences
  • Studio-grade sound with noise suppression and leveling
  • Recording and instant on-demand publishing
  • Resilient playback that rides out shaky networks

01

The challenge

Live audio is unforgiving — a half-second of latency or a dropped syllable breaks the conversation. Quality had to hold from a small room to a stadium-sized audience.

02

Our approach

We built the rooms on a realtime audio stack with noise suppression and automatic leveling, added resilient buffering for weak networks, and wired recording straight into on-demand publishing.

03

The outcome

PulseCast now hosts ten-thousand-listener rooms with sub-200ms speaker latency and studio-clean sound — and every live session becomes an on-demand episode the moment it ends.
